Before adopting Mindee’s solution, Indy’s users were burdened with manually managing their receipts and matching VAT details to bank transactions—a process that could take up to two days depending on the bank. This slow, error-prone system didn’t meet customer expectations. Users wanted to simply snap a photo of their receipt at the time of payment and let Indy handle the rest.
Our Solution
To automate receipt management, Indy integrated Mindee’s Receipt API. In a benchmark comparing six providers, Mindee quickly stood out for its exceptional performance and accuracy.
The API automatically extracts all essential information from a receipt image, including:
- Date and time
- Total amount (including VAT)
- VAT details
- Expense categories
- Supplier information
The result? Near-instant processing that eliminates manual data entry—users only need to confirm the extracted information, making the entire process far more efficient.

Thanks to the Node.js package provided by Mindee’s team, integration was swift and seamlessly adapted to Indy’s tech environment. Receipt data is now captured in real time as soon as bank transactions are synchronized.
